Alfredo Romero, MD

Dr. Alfredo Romero is Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and in Pain Management and a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Dr. Romero has 12 years of experience treating patients with chronic pain with a special interest in patients with back pain. His philosophy is to treat each patient with respect and compassion while using a multidisciplinary approach including physical therapy, pharmacologic management, and a wide variety of interventional procedures.
Dr. Romero is a graduate of the University of Guayaquil School of Medicine in Guayaquil, Guayas Province, Ecuador, where he obtained his M.D. degree and received the Magna Cum Lauded Graduate Award. He continued his post-degree medical training in the US.
First, he did his internship at Temple University Hospital, then his PM&R Residency at the University of Chicago, and finally completed his training with a Fellowship in Pain Management at University Hospitals of Cleveland. He has worked as an Attending Physician in Pain Clinics in the US, as well as in the VA hospital in his country.
He is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoys his free time with his wife and daughter.
